Girls' Roundup: Greely clinches top seed by defeating Leavitt/EL

FALMOUTH - Meg Finlay and Mary Morrison each had a goal and an assist Saturday night to lead Greely to a 5-1 victory against Leavitt/Edward Little at Family Ice Center, clinching the top seed in the East for the upcoming girls' hockey playoffs.

The Rangers (15-2-1) gave up the first goal of the game, then scored five unanswered goals in the final two periods.

Sarah Kurland, Danita Storey and Chelsey Andrews added a goal apiece, and Maura Perry made 27 saves.

Leavitt/Edward Little (14-4) opened the scoring on a goal by Danica Nadeau with 4:17 left in the first period.   (Maine Sunday Telegram 2/3/13)
